HIGHLIGHTS
The Truth version highlights the performance of the KLEI™QFLOW/Truth ICs in that they display a very clean yet real, organic, natural, riveting, and engaging presentation.
The new set of KLEI QFLOW7/Truth interconnect cables had already had a moderate period of burn in, prior to installing in my Hi-Fi system. From the initial notes played, my ears “pricked up” to the alive sound of the music. The cables sounded excellent without the need for much settling time.
The new cables were subsequently trialed across a range of music, over a period of a few weeks. I was hearing the following from my Hi-Fi system:
- Very clean highs/top end.
- Tight, well formed, and musical bass.
- Extremely quiet background.
- Really fine level of detail, providing very fine textures and nuanced sound of the vocals and instruments.
- Great clarity to the decay of notes and fade out of songs.
- Excellent delineation of the vocals and instrumentation. Very good amount of air/space around them.
- Very open sound.
- A great sense of the performance venue.
- Very deep and wide sound stage, with precise positioning of the vocals and instruments.
- Expansive and full sound.
- Very good pace and flow to the music.
- Very good tonal balance.
- Transparent sound with no sense of the Hi-Fi system equipment at all.
- Excellent overall control of the sound.
- Very rich and vibrant tones, expressive and natural sound to the music.
It created a highly musical and very enjoyable performance. It brought the system alive… StephenS 🙂
The KLEI™QFLOW7/Truth ICs, now we are getting serious. The QFLOW7/Truth ICs take us into territory as modeled out by KL’s QPURITY/Truth level ICs. A bespoke version of the Harmony plug is used – in this case, the KLEI™AbsoluteQ Harmony RCA plug. Aside from that and the label, there is nothing you can physically see that differentiates this cable from the QFLOW1, 2, or 4 models! The actual thickness appears to be the similar and it shares the same easy pliancy, yet sound-wise, we move to an even higher level of performance. The detail, the utterly quiet background, and sheer organic flow of the music, has to be heard to be understood. While these cables cost as much as many components, the effect they have is often greater than the same amount spent trying to upgrade by changing brands or models. After getting very good results with the KLEI Classic Harmony Banana plugs, I purchased a pair of KLEI QFLOW7/Concert ICs. After letting them settle in for a few weeks, I gave them a serious evaluation and noticed a notable improvement in all parameters of sound quality. The sound stage expanded in all dimensions, the precise imaging seemed more palpable, the bass was punchier and even tighter. Overall a very good improvement in sound quality, a cleaner and more natural reproduction… AlanB 🙂
