HIGHLIGHTS
The Concert version highlights the performance of the KLEI™QFLOW ICs (Concert), in that the KLEI™QFLOW ICs (Concert) display a Concert feel/character with a real, organic, natural, riveting, and engaging presentation.
The KLEI™QFLOW3 ICs (Concert/Quiesce) employ a new KLEI Harmony RCA plug that made expressly for this QSeries IC model and is extremely tightly toleranced – the KLEI SILVERQ Harmony RCA plugs. While we don’t know exactly how the conductors within the cable are arranged we can tell you that Keith Louis is committed to implementing and using only conductors that are as, or more, conductive than pure copper and/or even pure silver. I strongly suspect the latter is involved, as the QFLOW3 ICs are adept at delivering noticeably more fine detail than the QFLOW1 ICs. This model replaces the previous gZERO6 & 10 models in the previous GZSeries… John Ransley, Totally Wired 🙂
… Boy what an upgrade!
This interconnect has the ability to really dig into the music so that you get the feeling you are participating in the record engineer’s decision on what is going-on in the mix. Of course a muddy recording still sounds muddy but as a listener you are more confident in your judgement in recognizing when you hear a muddy recording. A good recording will present you with the opportunity to hear details in the recording mix that somehow were there all along but were masked with less resolving interconnects. Maybe I would compare this to looking through a window pane that has just been cleaned; before cleaning you got most of the view but afterwards you were surprised at the details that were masked. The whole stereo system contributes to the final results, so of course the QFLOW3 ICs cannot provide the entire solution. If you basically like the sound of your system the QFLOW3 ICs should enhance the over-all results.
In summation if you’re in the market for a new interconnect you may want to consider this very fine cable. The cable innovations continue “down under”. Another great product from Keith Louis… JG 🙂 🙂 🙂
The previous version of KLEI QFLOW3 ICs still sound great; however you don’t know what you are missing until you hear it. The Concert/Concerto version removes a veil from the music that I didn’t know was there. I compare this change to looking at a painting that you are familiar with (and fond of) and then having a professional restoration/cleaning that allows a new level of appreciation with details revealed in a more wholesome manner and colors appearing as truer and more distinct.
The music gets filled out in a more realistic sense (life like) with more dimensionality and a greater sense of space. Everything I liked about the earlier version has been improved. It seems difficult to get this much detail without a sense that the music has too much of an etched quality but this cable achieves this fine balance.
I certainly wonder how Keith Louis is able to make such remarkable progress in his cable designs, they seem to get better all the time. Very pleased with my new acquisition…. JG 🙂 🙂 🙂
